CAMPAIGN / PROJECT Real Taste

Brand beer is a subsidiary of Heineken.

Concept
With the existing pay-off 'Real Taste since 1340', Gummo developed a new campaign that started at the end of March 2005. The campaign consists of a series of documercials in which different authorities in the field of culinary taste tell about their taste experience; none of the usual advertising movies, but mini documentaries about real people, filmed without scripts and with only a small documentary crew.

For two weeks, director Pieter Kramer (of 'Theo & Thea', '30 Minutes' and 'Ellis in Glamourland' fame) followed, amongst others, Marcel Hayes (owner and chef of the restaurant Rosso in Rotterdam), Hans van Wolde (owner and chef of the two-star restaurant Beluga in Maastricht), Patrick van Velzen (owner and chef of the restaurant Zin in Loosdrecht) and Danny Janssen (contractor and cooking aficionado).

The result is a series of engaging portraits of real people who talk passionately about taste and their preference for Brand beer.
